This improves grid flexibility and makes power systems more responsive to changing demand.

Safety is another major benefit. Intelligent transformers can quickly identify overloads, short circuits, insulation degradation, and other dangerous conditions. By triggering alarms or protective actions, they help prevent equipment damage and reduce risks to the power network. Their ability to cooperate with digital substation systems also makes them suitable for smart grids, renewable energy integration, and modern industrial power networks.
